Latest on our appeal to set up a fund that is especially for supporting our old dogs, like Tia.

We have a very good track record in finding warm-hearted people to adopt our oldies. Potential adopters may be deterred by the potential vet costs for an older dog. We can provide what we call a “supported adoption” when we will agree to meet costs associated with care in old age. However, this is an open-ended commitment so we need a substantial fund ready and waiting. We know that cash is in short supply at present so we have come up with a cunning plan! We are asking everyone to turn out their CDs and DVDs and donate them to us. We can sell them and use the cash to start our oldies fund.
Initial collecting points for CDs and DVDs are the kennels and our charity shops (Friars Vennel, Dumfries; The Round House, Dalbeattie; Bank Street, Annan; Dashwood Square, Newton Stewart)

STOP PRESS!! So far we have raised £200 from the sale of cast off CDs and DVDs but we need more so we can have a good pool of money to draw on when our old dogs need extra care and medication.
The following helpful organisations have agreed to act as local collection points.
