History

Up to the age of 4, Murphy had 3 homes - none of the moves being any fault of his own. He spent 7 years with a couple who had to give him, and his late companion Gizmo, up for adoption in 2008 due to their own ill health.

Description

Murphy came in with his companion Gizmo. Both were the same age and had been together for a number of years. They were both suffering from "Dry Eye" or to give it it's proper name, Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca" His facial hair has to be kept short and his eyes bathed clean daily. He also has skin which flares up regularly, as do his ears, and he will need regular veterinary attention for the rest of his life. This, plus his age and the fact that he came in a twin-pack! deterred potential adopters and so on 25th September 2008 he and Gizmo went to join foster-carer Dora and her other dogs in a permanent foster placement. Sadly Gizmo passed away early 2010 but at least Murphy has other doggy friend to help ease the loss.
