***Our Centre is now CLOSED to the public***

As a result, in the rapid spread of Coronavirus and the need to follow all government and professional advice in order to safeguard our staff, volunteers, visitors and supporters, our normal pattern of operation is changing with immediate effect.  In order to self-isolate and avoid crowded or public areas, it will not be possible for our shops to remain open as they rely on a huge number of volunteers.  All six of our shops (Annan, Dalbeattie, Dumfries, Thornhill, Castle Douglas and Newton Stewart) are attempting to stay open as long as possible but it is inevitable that they will gradually close within a short period of time.  We know everyone will understand the situation and we hope to minimize inconvenience to both donors and customers.

Our fundraising and promotional activities will be cancelled until the end of May but we will review the situation regularly in order to reschedule as we cannot underestimate the importance of such events.

Throughout this very serious situation, the aim of our staff is to ensure that dogs in our care or needing support, receive the same high standard of care and attention as always.  Our centre at Dovecotewells, Glencaple will now be closed to all visitors. We will keep you updated on any changes to this.

We hope that this crisis ends as soon as possible, but in the meantime we apologise for any inconvenience.
