Current Coronavirus Statement

Monday, 16th March 2020

***Our Centre is CLOSED to the public***

As a result of Coronavirus and the need to follow all government and professional advice in order to safeguard our staff, volunteers, visitors and supporters, our normal pattern of operation has been severely affected .  In order to self-isolate and avoid crowded or public areas, it is not possible for our charity shops to operate.  All six of our shops (Annan, Dalbeattie, Dumfries, Thornhill, Castle Douglas and Newton Stewart) are closed. We know everyone will understand the situation and be assured will act upon guidance wherever possible.

Our fundraising and promotional activities are cancelled until the end of the summer but we will review the situation regularly in order to reschedule as we cannot underestimate the importance of such events.

Throughout this very serious situation, the aim of our staff is to ensure that dogs in our care or needing support, receive the same high standard of care and attention as always.  Our centre at Dovecotewells, Glencaple will now be closed to all visitors. We will keep you updated on any changes to this.

We hope that this crisis ends as soon as possible, but in the meantime we apologise for any inconvenience.
