Approx Age: 1 year
Herman is a big, handsome boy. He lived with 2 adults in his previous home and met children out and about - who he was good with. Due to his size and 'bouncy-ness', we would suggest a home without small children. Herman has never lived with another dog before and we have been told that he can be wary of some dogs that he meets. We have been told that Herman doesn’t like cats. Herman is used to being walked on harness and does pull very strongly on the lead. He travels well in the car, usually in the boot behind a dog guard. Herman has been known to empty bins when he is left alone in the house as he finds this quite stressful/frustrating. Herman is a real lovably lad who is looking for a committed owner who spend lots of time with him.
Herman was brought into the centre for rehoming due to his owner’s moving to a new house.
Herman is a big, strong dog so he will need an owner who is confident with larger breeds. He would best suit a home with no cats and no small children. He finds being left on his own quite daunting, and if not given enough mental stimulation, he can become anxious. Herman is therefore looking (like most dogs!) for an owner who is at home the majority of the time.
