Approx Age: 8 years, 5 months
Jess is originally from working stock and was used to living outside. She appears to be good with other dogs she has met in previous home, she ignored the hens and came across quite timid of the cats. Jess is strong willed and will heard and nip sheep so going forward she will need a home away from sheep and livestock. Jess has met lots of children and been great with them, she has previously lived with an eight year old and loves the playful attention. We have been told she was good in the house and is house trained. Jess isn’t used to the car but was relaxed in the back seat of the van on the way to the kennels, used to farm pickup with dog guard in the past. She is a very affectionate girl and would make a brilliant companion! Although she does pull a little on the lead, she has great recall, she loves cuddles and copes well at the vets.
Jess was handed in to the kennels by her previous owner as she was too much for the sheep when working. She was adopted in September last year but sadly had to be returned due to her new owners ill health.
Jess is very energetic and would benefit from having an active owner. She is looking for a home away from livestock and where there is someone home most of the time as she loves company.
