Approx Age: 1 year
Toby is a very friendly boy who loves attention. He is affectionate and playful and loves his toys. He has been used to a 5-year-old who we are told he was good with, however he is very bouncy and gets overexcited so we would recommend a home without small children. Toby is quite strong on lead and will need help with his recall training. He loves company and enjoys cuddling up with you on the sofa or in bed. He can be vocal when on his own or when he gets excited. We are told he has lived with a cat, but like all dogs, introductions to new animals takes time and must be done with caution. Toby has histiocytic colitis which we have been trying to get under control through different medication and food. Finally, we are hopeful we are able to manage it and his symptoms have improved.
Toby was handed in for rehoming due to his owner’s ill health and having to leave him whilst they were at the hospital. Neighbours complained that he barked when he was left on his own so he was handed in.
Toby is on treatment for his colitis which will most likely be on going. As this may be likely to put adopters off, we will be making him one of our sponsor dogs.
