Can I snuggle in your bed?
Bracken is senior citizen who likes his home comforts. He was used to living with one adult but after the death of his owner, a family member has been looking after him. He was introduced to the relatives dogs and most of the time he was okay, however Bracken tell the other dog off when he wanted space. He has met children who visited and we are told he was okay with them, however he has never shared his home with them. Bracken is not a fan of cats and would much rather be the only pet in the house. He is clean in the house and has been used to snoozing on his owners bed. Bracken tends to ignore other dogs when out but if they come into his space he can tell them off. He has very little experience of the car, only for vet visits so he has formed a negative association with this. To help him overcome this, he can be taught the car means something positive instead by not only taking him to the vets. Bracken is a sensitive to fireworks and thunder. He likes attention and is not comfortable being on his own as he has always had company in the house. Bracken loves his walks and sniffing in the woods. He can open doors, so will need a secure home.
Bracken has been handed in for rehoming as his owner passed away and family could not keep him.
We are looking for a quiet home, with staffie minded owners. He would suit a home where he is the only pet. As Bracken is an older boy we would recommend a home without young children. He can be vocal if on his own so we are looking for owners who are at home most of the time to keep Bracken company.
