Echo is a timid boy who is wary initially. Once he knows you he is very affectionate. Echo has been kenneled on a farm, in a very rural environment therefore lacks experience of living indoors or interactions that other pet dogs are used to. Echo is friendly towards other dogs and avoids conflict. He has only seen cats briefly in the distance and has been known to herd chickens. Echo has shared his space with his litter mates who he got on well with. Echo has not been used traveling and will needs further recall training. Echo can get worried by loud noises or quick movements so is looking for an owner who is patient and understands it will take him time to adjust to his new lifestyle.
Echo was handed in for rehoming as he was bred to be a sheep herder but did not cut the grade. He has come in with 3 of his litter mates who decided sheep dog trialling was not for them either!
Echo requires a rural home with an owner who is understanding of the needs of under socialised ex farm collies. We are looking for an owner who is gentle and patient and will give Echo plenty of time to grow in confidence and help provide him with reassurance and guidance. We feel Echo would benefit from a home without young children.
