Emy is a timid girl who is wary initially. Once she knows you she is affectionate but does lack confidence. She has been kenneled on a farm, in a very rural environment therefore lacks experience of living indoors or interactions that other pet dogs are used to. Emy is friendly towards other dogs and tries to avoid conflict. She has only seen cats briefly in the distance and has been known to herd chickens. Eve has shared her space with her littermates who she got on well with. She requires recall training and is not used to being in a car. Emy can get worried by loud noises or quick movements so is looking for an owner who is patient and understands it will take her time to adjust to her new lifestyle.
Emy was handed in for rehoming as she was bred to be a sheep herder but did not cut the grade. She has come in with 3 of her littermates who decided sheep dog trialling was not for them either!
Emy requires a rural home with an owner who is understanding of the needs of nervous ex farm collies. We are looking for an owner who is gentle and patient and will give Emy plenty of time to grow in confidence and help provide her with reassurance and guidance. We feel Emy would benefit from a home without young children. Emy requires an owner who is active and has lots of time to commit to training and socialising.
