Where is my ball?
Matt is a very energetic collie who is motivated by toys and food this make him very easy to train! We are told Matt lived with another dog at one stage who he was good with, however he is very reactive to dogs he meets on lead so may not be sociable to all new dogs. At the centre, we have found him to show aggression to some dogs (this may be partly due to the heightened stress of the environment). Matt is prone to frustration easily so requires an owner who will provide him with plenty of metal stimulation and exercise. This handsome boy is strong on lead and will need someone active. Matt has shown some tendencies to bark and chase cats in the distance but has never encountered them close for long. He can be nervous of new people, in particular men and is looking for someone who will provide him with guidance. We are told Matt travels fine in the car and fine to be left for an hour or so on his own once he is familiar with his routine. He is house trained and does his best to keep his kennel clean as much as he can. Matt is affectionate and once he knows, you he shows you his playful side. Matt has shared his home with children before but adopters must be aware he can be full on and children must know to provide him with space when he has toys as he can get frustrated.
Matt was handed in for rehoming due to a change in circumstances.
We are looking for an active, collie experience owner who understands Matt can be reactive to some other dog and requires further guidance. His previous owner felt he would not be suitable to live with cats.
