Just a wee note from Elektra here. I'm currently taking up the entire campervan double bed and doing my very best to push Malc and Jane out of it with my long legs. I really do need a lot of space, after all, I am extremely special.
So far, I have made myself at home everywhere I go, have cuddled into everybody I've met, had some right good long walks and some mad rara moments. I only did one weewee in the house at the very start, but that was because Malc was too stupid to notice all my legs were crossed. After that, I've done it outside, every single time. After all, I am extremely clever too.
I've had a few days at Janes house, but at this moment, I am in the campervan as I said, which I really do like lots. We are already going places I haven't been, like walks by the river. I have been told in the morning there is something called a "beach".. which I am not sure if I have seen before. It smells funny, can't wait.
I have however been sleeping lots - just generally lying about with one eye out for squirrels. I saw one today in Edinburgh and I really wanted to catch it, but Jane annoyingly didn't let me, and told me to do this thing called "stand". Not sure if I like "standing", when *running* is what is really asked for in a squirrelly situation.
I also got a nice warm coat yesterday, which will be lovely as it's bloody cold out for the likes of me. Have a fair amount of toys now, but to be honest, a football that appeared in the garden the other day is my favourite.
For some reason, I don't really like walking around when there are cars parked. And cars coming up behind me, nope, I don't like them at all. I have a certain route that I am becoming happier with the more I go it. But in the countryside, perfectly happy thanks... When I'm there I am going to use a really really long lead - 100 foot! So I can run full pelt but still not run away. There's a stretchy bit on at as well so I don't come to a sudden stop. Not nice for my long regal neck, that.
And I have absolutely no interest in food that isn't mine. Nope, just not bothered. I do hear less well-educated dogs are into this mooching business, but I'm far too refined for that.
Have met a few other doggy types, one of which got far too close to my bottom, which as you know, I'm not that fond of. I told him to step away, in no uncertain terms, but otherwise, I'm quite happy to speak to anybody who gives me a decent amount of personal space.
So anyway, just wanted to say hi, I am not sure if I will be back anytime soon as it's rather comfortable here and I have them well trained to make sure I get everything I want. I do sleep in the kitchen at night as there are lots of things I like rearranging artistically all over the floor in other rooms when I'm unattended, especially cushions.
I don't really do stairs, so quite happy to be in the kitchen, I don't whine very much either and just go to sleep after a few minutes, and well, barking - that's for common dogs. I do have a very comfy single duvet with hand made cover, and my own pillow for my sensitive ears so am extremely cosy at night.
The only bit I am not sure about is that they keep calling me "Rosie" when they want me, instead of my name. Seriously, they are a bit dim at times, but I think I like them anyway.
Bye Bye, Elektra.
