Facilities

The rescue has been upgraded and refurbished, with the old facilities replaced since we took over the site in 2003. On arriving at the Canine Rescue, our dogs are each given a spacious kennel and day-run.

The runs and the new, purpose-built puppy and isolation units were completed in December 2013. They were opened by our late patron, Lady Mary Herries. All new arrivals are weighed, wormed and flea-treated. Our vet visits weekly and each dog is thoroughly checked over and fully vaccinated.

Our post-operative recovery kennels are used for dog recovering from being neutered. This occurs after a seven-day quarantine period. These kennels were also refurbished in 2013.

Our purpose-built rehoming block, which was built in 2008 has individual covered runs, underfloor heating, and a grass exercise enclosure. The sandpit is very popular!

The large paddock, surrounded by high fencing, is used daily for safe off-lead exercise and play. This is now available to hire for the public. Our grooming room is also available to hire.
