Membership Application

Do you love dogs? Would you like to support us and help the dogs in our care?

You can do all this by becoming a member!

It only costs £25.00 for a one-year membership (which can be renewed annually) or a one-off payment of £250.00 to become a lifetime member.

As a member you will receive regular updates on the centre and the dogs in or care through our newsletter, GLADD Times, and you’ll hear directly about all of our events and activities. You will also be able to attend and vote at our Annual General Meeting.

On top of that, if you have dogs yourself, you will also be automatically registered with our ‘Safe for Life’ scheme. If you have dogs, it can be a real worry thinking about what should happen to them if they outlive you - particularly as some people live alone and have no relatives or friends who could offer the dog a suitable home. We know this worry often prevents older people from having a dog. However, this scheme can help and give you the assurance that should your dog be left without you, we can immediately take care of him/her and look to rehome them as soon as possible into a suitable, forever home.

Gift Aid Declaration

Gift Aid allows us to receive an extra £0.25p from the Inland Revenue for every pound you donate so £10.00 from you becomes £12.50 to us.

You can add Gift Aid to your donations if you have paid enough income tax or capital gains tax for each year (6 April to 5 April) that is at least equal to the amount of tax all the charities you donate to will reclaim on your gifts for that tax year. Taxes such as VAT and council tax do not qualify. Dumfries & Galloway Canine Rescue Centre will reclaim £0.25p of tax for each £1.00 given.

If you wish to cancel this declaration, change your name, home address or no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains you must notify Dumfries & Galloway Canine Rescue.

If you pay higher or additional rate income tax and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.

By selecting Yes in the following box, you have read and understood the Gift Aid conditions and would like the D&G Canine Rescue Charity to treat all donations you have made since 6th April 2000 and all future donations as Gift Aid until you notify us otherwise.
