Open Daily: 12 noon - 4 pm 6 days a week (Closed on Wednesdays) and at other times by appointment.
We are located just past Glencaple on the B725 from Dumfries on the same road that takes you past stunning Caerlaverock Castle.
From Dumfries, head for Glencaple along St Michael Street (B725), past the back of the Crichton Campus and the old DGRI site
Follow that road for about 4 miles passing through Glencaple, continue on and you'll see our left turn, up the hill, clearly signposted a mile and a half past Glencaple itself.
If coming from the east, take the second Annan exit off the A75 and follow the signs for Solway Heritage Trail - the B724 will take you past Cummertrees and Ruthwell before you strike a left just before Clarencefield to Bankend. Turn right at Bankend and just out of the village turn left up a narrow lane opposite Caerlaverock Church - it is 1 and 3/4 miles to the Centre over the hill.
Please note that to avoid unduly stressing the dogs and to keep noise levels to a minimum, we do not show people around the kennels on a daily basis. Dogs that you wish to meet will be brought to you. However, we recognise that many people would like to be shown round just out of interest in the work we do and with this in mind we have open viewing sessions between 1pm and 3pm on the last Sunday of every month.
