Affectionate little cutie looking for a loving home!
Bella is a small affectionate spaniel that likes nothing more than a cuddle and a romp around the paddock with her canine friends. She gets on well with other dogs, being in their company brings her out of her shell so she will benefit from a canine friend in the home to help build her confidence. Bella loves children, so a home with children is a must. We have been told that she’s housetrained but she will possibly need a refresher when she arrives at her new home. Bella has a weaker front left leg than her right. On vet investigation, the cause of the problem is unknown. She will need regular on lead exercise to build the muscles in that leg, she is in NO pain, but it is unlikely that Bella will be undertaking any marathons in her lifetime!
History
Bella was handed into the centre for rehoming because her owner didn’t have the time for her.
Re-homing Criteria
Bella has come on leaps and bounds since she has been with us. From the shy, nervous girl that arrived she is now a happy go lucky cheeky spaniel that is a firm favorite with everyone she meets. We imagine Bella in a young family with another dog. Children of 6yrs plus, who are already dog savvy and are respectful of animals, and with another dog that she can romp around with. With time her leg should improve, but even as it is now she needs exercise to stimulate her, she's a spaniel after all! Ideally with someone around part of the day, and with a decent sized, secure outdoor space to run around in. Cats, we don't think she has lived with a cat, but is young enough to learn to live with a cat who has lived with a dog in the passed.
