It takes Mac a while to get to know you as he has not been used to lots of new people. He lacks confidence and finds new environments (more so the kennel environment) quite stressful. Mac is strong on lead but walks well on a harness. He is very toy focused and loves to play. Mac is not keen on getting in the car and has not had much experience of it so will need help to overcome his anxieties about traveling. Mac knows basic commands and is housetrained but latterly had been having accident as he was being left too long. He is not keen on other dogs, especially when he is on lead. We are told he can be fine with some dogs off lead but as his frustration levels are high in kennels, we have noticed him to be more reactive towards them here. Mac loves company and has spent a couple of days on foster with one of our staff members to help try and reduce his stress levels. He has been the perfect house guest and is very affectionate.
Mac was handed in for rehoming as his owners reported that he recently growled at the child in the house when they tried to take a toy from him.
Mac hates being on his own and finds busy environment overwhelming. He is not coping well with the kennel environment and has started taking his frustration out by biting his tail and pulling his fur out when he hears other dogs nearby. He has been spending time on foster with a staff member to try and keep him calm and prevent this behaviour. When he is in the home environment he is good and shows no signs of stress. Mac will need someone at home the majority of the time to help keep him company. Mac needs a patient owner who will help him with his on lead frustration when he is out on walks. He needs a home without children or cats.
