I need an owner that will continue building my confidence!
It has taken a while for Ben to come out of his shell, he is a nervous wee dog and struggles with close handling but has improved greatly since being with us. Having said that, Ben will still need time to get to know his new owners who should treat him with a slow gentle approach and continue to build his confidence. As Ben came into us as a stray our information regarding his history is limited, due to his nervous nature will not be rehoming Ben with children. He seems dog friendly so he may be able to live with another dog going forward, we have no idea how he would react to cats.
History
Ben came into the centre as an unclaimed stray.
Re-homing Criteria
Ben is looking for a quiet home with no young children and a completely secure garden due to his nervous nature. Ben needs patience and understanding, he struggles with close handling so his new owners need to understand he will need time to settle into new surroundings and it may be a slow process building his confidence. It may be possible for Ben to live with a quiet dog of a similar age. Experience dealing with anxious dogs would be beneficial.
