A sweet boy.

Recently, the Scottish Government announced it would be following England in implementing a ban on the XL Bully.
This week they announced that from 23rd February, it will be illegal to re-home, sell, gift or exchange any XL Bully and by this date, all XLs must be on lead and muzzled when out in public.
By the 31st July it will be illegal to own this breed and all owners must have applied for exemption for their XL Bully by this date.
Regardless of opinions on this matter, rescues all over the country are faced with the devastating realisation that if we cannot re-home any existing dog that meets type by this date, the inevitable must happen.

Nova came to us as a stray and is just a young pup at 5months old with a whole life ahead of him.
We have been working hard on his socialisation, lead walking and muzzle training to give him the best start and set him up for success in his new home.
We are looking for someone who has experience with this breed and a commitment to abiding by the new laws to ensure his safety. He will need someone who is home most of the time to help him settle, learn new routines and continue his training.
Nova has shown to be good with female dogs and enjoys time in the paddock off lead with a staff members dog. We are unsure how he would be with cats.
Please do not apply if you have young children within the home. Applications can be considered for households that have teenage children

History

Nova came to us as a stray.

Re-homing Criteria

We are looking for a dedicated owner who will continue training. Nova needs a home without young children.
